Wallace Wood's DYNAMO in black and white, part 1

In 1966 Tower Books, a paperback publisher, reprinted stories from the first issue of their T.H.U.N.D.E.R. AGENTS comic book, which came out in 1965 under the Tower Comics imprint. Wallace Wood created the characters and was responsible for the overall look of the series. This week I am posting the first three chapters of the Dynamo series which all appeared in T.H.U.N.D.E.R. AGENTS #1. Parts 1 and 2 are today, and part 3 will be seen on Thursday.

Because the paperback book format has some limitations with size, I have included the three first pages of each chapter, scanned from my copy of T.H.U.N.D.E.R. AGENTS #1.

The paperback was marketed as DYNAMO, MAN OF HIGH CAMP on the cover. Ugh. I don't know if anyone uses the term "camp" anymore, but if they don't, then good riddance. The Tower characters were far from camp. They even went so far wrong as to mis-color Dynamo on the cover, replacing his blue costume with red.

Remember to come back Thursday for "At the Mercy of the Iron Maiden."
